Reading?

Eamon is only 4. He doesn't actually read yet. He does however enjoy lying in bed looking at his books -- especially after he's been kissed goodnight and his light turned off. 

He discovered (through a bit of trial and error) that if he quietly pushes his door to almost closed, turns on his light and "reads" quietly in his bed, I'm unlikely to notice that he is still awake, or if I do, I don't do anything provided he remains quiet.

I hope these nights continue once he actually learns to read.
