1. It's cold here. Very cold. We had a few days of warm weather that melted much of our snow and left icy patches everywhere. Those warm days spoiled us. We knew spring wasn't right around the corner, but I wasn't expecting such cold: it's -20 Celsius with wind chills much colder than that (approaching -40 overnight the weather people say). But at least the days are longer.
2. Just finished reading "The Orenda" by Joseph Boyden. Such a terrific read. I love when novels teach us a bit of history using a fabulous story. I'd like to read more about the early 17th century, the Huron, and the Iroquois. I'll likely read a bit, but find myself bored since there will be no mention of Bird, Snow Falls or the Crow. Nothing beats a great novel.
